We are committed to providing your pet with the best service.
Woof Wagg’n takes every consideration to assure your pet’s safety, comfort and wellbeing is met while in our care, however, animals are innately unpredictable and therefore there is no guarantee accidents can always be avoided. Every effort will be made to make your pet’s grooming experience as stress free and pleasant as possible.
Skin sensitivities: Please advise the groomer of any skin sensitivities prior to the groom, some pets may have a reaction to the purest and cleanest products, we will best match your pets skin and coat condition with a suitable product and also welcome any specific product you would like to supply to be used for your pet.
Senior pets and medical problems: Extra care is taken for senior pets, please advise the groomer beforehand of any medical issues or any other concerns.
Difficult pets: Pets who show any kind of aggression may be muzzled and require additional restraints for their safety as well as the safely of the groomer. If the groom cannot be completed in severe cases, the groom will be charged for accordingly. A special handling requirement fee will be charged for difficult pets on completion.
Knots and matted coats: Pets with matted coats need extra care and attention and more time is needed to navigate the risk. These coats are time consuming and require a process with specific products, tools, skill and patience. There is a risk of injury and/or skin irritations involved when dealing with matted coats and if the determination is made that your pet cannot comfortably and safely be de-matted then an alternative style will be advised, in a case where you do not want the pet shaved down to regrow the coat then service will be reused. A matting fee will be charged for any de-matting or excessive time taken to remove a pelted/matted coat. After effects of mat removal can include but not limited to clipper irritation, self inflicted skin irritation (licking/chewing), abrasion and failure of the coat regrowing. Prevention is the best defense agains matting by scheduling regular grooming and maintenance brushing/combing at home if needed.
Accidents: Although we use extreme caution in all situations, grooming equipment is sharp and pets can move at inopportune moments resulting in possible accidents. Your pets comfort and safety is our number one priority. In the event an accident does occur you will be notified as soon as possible. In the event the groomer feels it is serious and the pet carer is not on-site and cannot be contacted, we will attempt to seek medical attention for your pet. Any veterinary costs and expenses will be the responsibility of the pet carer.
Ticks and fleas: If your pet has fleas a fee of $35 will be charged over and above the groom price.
Cancellation/no show’s: We understand sometimes situations happen out of our control and you may need to cancel but we ask that if you do please give us preferably 48 hours notice. Cancellations including no shows made less than 24 hours prior to the groom will be charged 50% of the service fee. Chronic cancellations will result in the inability to book future appointments. If we arrive and are unable to access your home or your pet, you may be subject to a minimum call out fee of $35.
Arrival times: Arrival times will be as close to the scheduled time as possible, however situations may occur where the daily schedule gets disrupted. This includes traffic, weather, mechanical difficulties or spending extra time with an older, younger or more difficult pet. A pet’s safety will never be compromised by rushing to meet a schedule. You will be advised on a time of arrival if there is a schedule change beyond our control.
Entering a property: Rural properties; upon entering a driveway needs to be clear of any over hanging branches or obstructions to avoid any scratching to the vehicle. City/residential or built up areas; to work safely and considerately to those using the footpaths, the vehicle needs to be parked in a level off street parking space with at least 2.5m wide and 5m long. All that is needed is an outside tap and a power plug (Please no multiboards). Inside the vehicle is entirely heated in colder months for your pets comfort.
Payment: Cash and online payment is accepted. A late payment fee will be added if payment is made later than 7 days.
